... we were about to have the most amazing experienced. A space shuttle could have landed beside us and we wouldn’t have noticed.

The skiff was tied to a fixed anchorage then Shaq tied a life ring to a long length of rope and threw it out the back of the boat. Then he said "Get your snorkels on, take this bit of baguette and get in. Don’t let go of the rope or the life ring because the current is really strong."

My god it was fun. ...

... what little there is and swap into something that might give us a little protection from the icy blasts in the USA... Just after writing the above, Angela and I were rewarded with an immaculate sunset. Slowly falling beneath rain pregnant clouds over the Isle of Moorea. There were several dozen rowing craft, including the very popular out-riggers and eight man canoes, all racing beneath the sunset. Perfect end to a perfect South Pacific ...

... We spent all this time getting here it seems appropriate that we take in our surroundings properly. Horror of Horrors.... No internet today. It seems several islands have lost their connection to the World...Could be interesting when we come to pay if the the system is bust! I guess Mr Putin may have decided to invade here too. ... are 4 feet wide. They congregate here every day to be fed fish scraps...the commotion in the water is terrific, with whipping stingray tails everywhere...thankfully not in anger. Angela and I headed into deeper water with the local guide and we were able to stroke these amazingly graceful creatures. They run right up your legs and the tail is quite abrasive when it sweeps on past. The largest from nose to tail is a good six feet ...

... the airstrip. On arrival we found out that we had been upgraded to one of the best villas. The Intercontinental Thalasso Spa hotel is built into the lagoon in the shape of two horseshoes.
