Blue Parrot is an excellent place to stay in Sydney due to its location, size cleanliness and especially the staff. I have stayed in the Blue Parrot many times and always enjoy my stay. There are heaps of free and high-quality amenities and the dorms are also of excellent quality and size. The hostel has a very homely feel to it - Effie and Sasha are the best hosts you can imagine!!!

This place is freaking awesome. Great people and staff, lots of fun adventures and safe trouble to get into. I had a blast here.

      Day 38

Early start today for my Hunter Valley wine tasting tour! :-) Visited 3 different wineries and tasted around 12 different wines at each; I felt a bit drunk after the first visit! The Asian girls in the group were clearly not used to drinking and were hilarious to watch, they kept pouring their wine away because it was too strong and weren't feeling …

Went on a free walking tour around the city today which was really good, met a nice girl called Claire and also bumped in to Breda from the Great Ocean Road tour! Small world. I had to cart all my stuff over to the other side of the city in the afternoon which was a mission but then went on a nice walk through Potts Point and over to the Botanical …

Sydney - neues Land, neuer Kontinent, neues Kapitel.

It's been a bit quiet on my blog recently, for which apologies, but it was only due to a lack of exciting events to report on. I have been working in Narrabri, NSW since March 2013 and managed to get a work visa in the meantime. I have worked as a mechanic / workshop maanger / spare-parts sales person / truckdriver etc. for a small agricultural- …
