The wizard of Cartegena
WAnywaysen told all about the wizard before arriving in Cartegena and what do you know, within 30 minutes he had found us. Don´t confuse him with the Christchurch version. The only reason he calls himself the wizard is that his parents own an emerald shop and he ain't selling emeralds. This guy wandered up to us with the same pre-warned patter of ´ …
Up the Devil´s nose
Last time I put fingers to keyboard I was bemoaning the underbelly of Quito however I am pleased to say that small town Ecuador proved to be their savior as I hoped it would. I guess all big cities have an undesirable element but Quito seems to feature this more prominently.

It is very straight forward to get to …

Great cosy hostal where you get to meet great other travellers, Kelvin the owner also works here which gives a good vibe to the place and he also cooks up a mean BBQ on Sundays.

Everything totally okay. 4 of 5 stars cause of less electricity plugs and a crowded kitchen.
