This hostel was clean, well run, friendly and useful staff. The kitchen was large, and clean, plenty of room to cook your evening meals, it had a large living room area with sofas and TV, outside patio and lots of compute to use. The rooms were a good size and clean. It was also in an excellent location.

We got a double private with en suite bathroom. The bed is allright and the shower is hot in the early morning. Fan and satellite tv provided. Internet not a good signal in room better in common areas. Lots of common areas. Good place to hang out, not a party hostel but can still enjoy a few beers til 1. Good area and close to metro.

Good hostel,10 minute walk from metro, and short walk to Zona Rosa. Close to large exito supermarket, would recommend. Has ties with Real City tours, so has around 8 spaces for people to join the tour which is really worthwhile

Nice hostel run by a kiwi guy, great location, good facilities, helpful, friendly staff. Really nice private rooms too with amazing showers. Not a party hostel but really sociable & only 10 mins walk from zona rosa where theres good nightlife.
They have a local guy start his free walking tour (tips) from there every second day, see below (this is not to be missed)

Great cosy hostal where you get to meet great other travellers, Kelvin the owner also works here which gives a good vibe to the place and he also cooks up a mean BBQ on Sundays.

We left Salento early in the morning with fond memories and after around 20 cups of coffee in the 2.5 days, headed for Medellin in the centre of Colombia via a town called Pereira. The bus, which was the best we'd taken in Colombia so far, contained the luxury of wifi and the 5 hour journey passed in no time. It's possible …

Fresh

Tonight, I left the heat of the coast for some fresh mountain air, in Medellín. It is cold! I ended up taking the bus from the airport into San Diego and then caught a taxi the rest of the way to the hostel. The first thing that I realized, is that the taxis are on metres here! No questioning the driver on the price before getting in. Medellín is …

Saying goodbye to Henry in Cartegena as he headed to pain a meant our group was now 2. We'd compared the bus and flights for our journey to Medellin, read all the blogs, heard all the chat and decided air was the only route to take. Assuming we could buy a ticket that is. We'd heard lots of non-Colombians having trouble using their cards online to …

Our journey from the Amazon jungle trip over to Colombia was easily one of the worst we had to endure... When we reached the station near to the border, we were dumped in the middle of the night with no idea what we were supposed to be doing. After the sweltering heat of the jungle we were freezing cold and managed to work out we needed to get a …
