Took a while to find our street in Vyserad, got there fairly late so went to a local "Primeval" restaurant called "Pravek". The next day was very uneventful, we basically did washing for the entire day, as the laundromat closed at lunchtime for an hour and we couldn't really do anything after that. We did a walking tour the next day and saw all the sights including Wenceslas Square, Jewish area, Prague Castle (where we nearly got pickpocketed on the tram!). Astrological Clock was being fixed ...
Prague, Czech Republic trishigirl
... the whole town again!

Well it was now 11pm and it was time for us to head back and get ready for our trip tomorrow. When we got into the lobby, Jon was there with Kevin?!? Wasn’t he supposed to be in bed? Jon then said Sky Europe was out of business. I did not really register what he was saying and then I saw Ron and Marisol in the lobby. They were supposed to be on a flight at 7pm to Amsterdam, what are they doing here???

Well I ...
Prague, Bohemia, Czech Republic monkeytoes... European dates, distances and times-it is 22:48 right now-I hope we go back to normal when we get back to the States) we left Vienna by bus at 11:30. We had trouble finding the bus station in a nasty storm front. We asked at a building that turned out to be a transportation office for Austria, and the funny thing was that they didn't know the street we were looking for-which was around the corner from ...
Prague, Bohemia, Czech Republic pennsPrague is an interesting city with quite a morbid past. It is nestled beside the Vlatsa River and is overlooked by a giant castle. On the first day I went on a walking tour around the city which was really worth it. We saw the new town (built in the 1300's and the old town built even earlier than that. We also saw and amazing public clock which also has the position of the sun and moon and the zodiac. We also learnt how the people of Prague have a ...
Prague, Bohemia, Czech Republic amydavid... was struck by the realization that less than twenty years ago this city was still Communist, with lines a mile long to buy ration-limited food and gasoline. Less than forty years ago the Prague Spring was crushed by Soviet tanks. This is why my oldest son is named John Reagan Hemphill, after the Great Liberator who freed this nation and many others from the half-century burden of Communist oppression. Tomorrow it is off to Germany.
Prague, Czech Republic oneyearaway... of the city. The main square has all the big shops and fun restaurants. If you eat in these areas the meals are very expensive, but the area that our hotel is situated has some non-touristy restaurants and it is very cheap to eat in these places. About 8 dollars will get you a huge meal with drinks. We are off to explore the castle today and to walk over St. Charles bridge. Take care, Fiona
Praha, Czech Republic martens... Union hadn't to learn Czechish he laughed for a long time:-). The first two night I studied night Prague alone again. It was again strange - free of charge discos). What was also strange - prices in superamrkets. they were the same as in Ukraine! I hoped they would be at least twice expensive. Zoo. In zoo we got with my friends from toursit groupe 1-2 hours befor closing but I wasn't enough ...
Prague, Czech Republic miki_83... the weather. It sucked. Rain, cloud, rain, etc. I've already written to the mayor (or whatever they have as a municipal head). Hopefully they get that problem looked at. Oh, and the language is really weird and hard to understand. It took me four days to figure out how to say "thank you". Things we did: went to a play; went to Prague castle; went clubbing (not seals - dancing). The play was on a boat, which was ...
Prague, Czech Republic fbombmoe... I have never been to either of those places and I would love to see the ocean again. When do we leave? Now? E: Maybe 4 o clock, I need to look at something on computer first and call J, D, and N. I exit the computer and go to make myself a fried cheese sandwich while E. looks up stuff on the internet. The next thing I hear the Czech Republic mentioned as an alternative to Italy ... 5 minutes after that the Czech Republic has emerged as the clear dinner ...
Pilsen, Czech Republic d_in_bavaria... for a small fee. First night we went to local restaurant and had the most expensive thing on menu, which was some meat, potato and cheese thing. It was about $1.10, and beer was $0.40/half liter. We got some cheap Marlboro Reds as a way to meet friends. Also got some loose tobacco and paper to roll. Went to "music bar" where there was a band and DJ. There was alot of american music played, but mostly in Czech ...
