... Greats Palace (named much after her) that was the summer palace for the Tsars of Russia. The palace was supposed to be just out of town, a metro ride, a train ride and then a quick bus away. After enjoying a later and thus less crowded breakfast we were off!


The metro in Saint Petersburg is brilliant! The buildings themselves look like mini palaces or cathedrals and inside they are so beautifully decorated with marble and bronze statues everywhere. ...

... coolness of being the first: "The early bird gets the worm". In my opinion, Estonians were much closer to the verity, saying: "Kes ees - see mees!" which can be translated as "The real man is the one at the head".
