Sao Paolo (long post!)

A travel blog entry by charlotte.cooke

... first time last weekend. I figured what better country to do this in than Brazil, and where better than the biggest city here, Sao Paolo. Couchsurfing is an official website which links hosts (people with spare rooms or sofas) in places all over the world with guests (people looking for a place to stay), for free. On this occasion my host was a very kind man called Eber, who had an endless stream of references on his profile, from other travelers saying what a ...

Its not that it became a pretty city in 3 months since I was here before, but I've seen it on a different way.

The Nossa Senhora do Brasil is one of the most beautiful churches I have stepped foot in. The tile work and painted walls and ceilings are spectacular. It's almost as if the church is alive with the scenes being portrayed. It is truly made for weddings and must ...

Sao Paulo - The second stop

... Today we were picked up by an exchange student that came through Paeroa College when Gabriel and I were there, and he took us around to his place for lunch. His flatmates and friends had made hand-made pasta and some beef, which was an awesome change from struggling to figure out what we are ordering! I now can see why the meat here is so salty though; They unloaded LOTS of salt all over the meat, put some in the roasting dish, then put it in the oven. Nothing was ...
