Travel Blogs from Bath
Well it had to happen didn't it ... I am in the UK after all ... Got my first lot of rain today .... I am in the beautiful city of Bath, in preparation for going on a tour of Stonehenge, Avebury and Villages tomorrow as even with train travel and accommodation it was cheaper to do from here than London and I get a better tour as well!!! Go figure …
The trip to Bath was one I was looking forward to for a couple of reasons - it was a chance to see one of the bigger cultural highlights in England but also one where I could rest, eat well, get some exercise under the belt and do a bit of catching up on my photography side of things.
I chose to stay at a YMCA hostel which was quite cheap …
Better late than never! I had a couple of days off at the end of the half term week, and on the Friday we decided on a "Family Outing". Liz organised, and it involved (a) the Fashion Museum in Bath, (b) an early dinner at the Firehouse Rotisserie in Bristol, followed by (c) Beauty & The Beast at the Hippodrome, Bristol.
