Good on the whole, but the lifts are a liability and the showers are awful.

We have our own double room with bathroom here so it's pretty comfortable. Clean sheets, TV and all the amenities. We're happy.

Stayed for one night in a twin room with a friend. Great room with fridge too - lovely and clean and had a good night's sleep. Quiet hostel considering it's size, very efficiently run, good central location.

Swings and Roundabouts
Ok, so today is Friday 28th January, 2:58pm my time.
Since the last update, my sunburn has kind of gone, but now I have some very weird tan lines where I didn't reach far enough down my back with the old sun cream.
Last weekend, I went away to Waiheke Island from Thursday to Sunday, about a 40 minute ferry ride from mainland …
Bank Holiday already!
So, figured I'll do this once a week from now on, so I'm not just talking rubbish each time.
My Visa Card was frozen by Natwest twice in the last week because I've withdrawn money from over here. Not sure how many times I have to tell them I'm in New Zealand! I'm only taking it out of cash points beacuse the online transfer won't work …
I know when I'm coming home!
Monday was the last day of the bank holiday weekend, but pretty much everything remained open as normal unlike England. Julie let me know that they have picked up all of my stuff from 'home' and it is in her attic, so as soon as the house is sold, I will be 'of no fixed abode'. Had an email and Imogen update from Claire which was nice :) I like …
3 weeks down.......
Feet still hurt! Think it might be in the starting stages of developing in my left foot now! Grrr. So today, I have a trial / interview at Mecca Cafe on the Viaduct Harbour, quite a posh area for waitressing. It's at 2:00pm my time. Minimum wage I'll be on is $16 per hour (8pounds!). I keep thinking about the interview I have at the Hilton on …
My last full week in Auckland
I got up at 7:00am and had a webcam chat with Sharon, Caitlin, Ryan, Poppy and Lili-Anne this morning, which was lovely. I went and sat on the computers in my pyjamas with my bed hair, but not many people were around so it was ok :) I didn't do a lot for the rest of the day, just used the free internet at IEP.
Tuesday....
