Having left Booti Booti our next stop was to the Koala Hospital in Port Macquarie. Not only was it amazing but more importantly it was admission by donation. The site cared for 15-20 koalas who had been injured mainly due to dog attacks or bush fires and they are amazing animals. They only eat young eucalyptus leaves which are so toxic that 20% of their energy is used just to neutralise the toxins in them. Consequently when they are ...

Spot X

Then back on the coach I fell asleep for a bit, I didn't end up getting to Coffs Harbour till 1am, I got a taxi to hostel then had to try and find what bed was free, when I finally did I had to try make it in the dark, was hard! Then I went to lalala land ...

... At night, Jill got dragged into some interesting games and we enjoyed a couple ciders around the campfire, making me miss fires in the summer at home. Sunday, December 22 - At 9:30 was our first surf lesson. We got to hear the whole spiel again, about how to surf, parts of the board and so on. But once we got out in the water, we had a blast! The two instructors were quite helpful and Jill and I both stood up quite a bit. We had nice grilled wraps for lunch and then we both grabbed ...
