Flipping fruit picking fiasco!

A travel blog entry by mattchurch7 on Aug 10, 2015

... so I bought a Baklava ladyfinger from the Greek stand! It's a phyllo pastry with nuts and syrup in there somewhere, a photo is already on facebook....fairly tasty! I also decided the barnet needed a trim, so I had my hair cut for only $7! Considering the price, it was a decent cut (not quite on Kurtybear level I imagine).. Miraculously, there was nobody for the night bus either today, so instead I was asked to do a drop off at the train station just ...

... vegetable curry with our reliable little stove and then we drove into town. Coffs Harbour is a very spaced out town with the town being far away from the beach making it a bit annoying getting around. It wasn't our favourite place so far but perhaps when the sun was out the next day our minds would change. The following day we travelled through Dubbo to Parkes where we had lunch at The Dish. This dish picks up radio frequency waves ...

Park beach caravan park - Coffs Harbour Once again the wind started howling on our last night. In 25 knot winds we trundled 90 minutes down the road to Coffs Harbour. We have been here quite a few times before, including our honeymoon which was spent at nambucca heads down the road, so we know and love this place a lot. We are spending 4 nights here simply because Cath has a uni exam to do at southern cross uni in town, and she also needs some kid free time to study prior. So ...

... Heads, Port Macquarie, Newcastle and Gosford. It would
have been lovely to spend at least a few hours in each town, but unfortunately
time wasn’t on our side. You could easily spend another 2 weeks exploring this
part of the country, but we had just a few hours. We also drove over many
creeks, each one individually named. I think my favourite had to be ‘Deadmans
Creek’. Needless to say, we ...
