Paper thin walls allow you to hear drunk people all night. They were unorganized, when we arrived our 6 bed dorm was supposed to be empty but guys were in our beds. They had to leave but their mess took days to clean. Great vibe and decent location. The WiFi was great.

Barcelona lies in a region of Spain called Catalunya. It is quite different from the rest of Spain in many regards although most importantly, they do not speak Spanish. They speak Catalunyan which is a combination of French, Italian, and Portuguese I believe. Nearly everyday was a beautiful 75 degrees. I did not travel to other areas of Spain (well …

After a rough day of travel from Amsterdam, I was so happy to be in sunny and warm Barcelona. The first two days I spent at the beach.

Some people in the hostel were talking about a hike they did up Monserrat. I hadnīt even heard of it before but I thought I would check it out. I found a cool website that explained which trains to take, …

Meanwhile, back at the ranch.... I was working hard those two weeks while Mr. Ravnaas was enjoying his Easter vacation with family. But Saturday finally arrived and it was time to get on a plane for Europe. Sadly, the weather report said rain and highs in the 60's, but hey, that's still warmer than Seattle or Norway. After an uneventful flight, ...
