The immediate reaction is the craftsmanship and the enormity.

Have visited significant temples in Bangkok, the size of the structures and attention to detail are most impressive.

We started at Wat Arun, one of the most noted landmarks in the city. Constructed in the first third of the 19th century, the central tower rises 76 meters (250 feet) and dominates the skyline. Its outer decorations are made of sea shells and pieces of Chinese porcelain.
