I'm a survivor......
I know I've only just blogged and you will be sick of me but I'm just sat in Retiro Terminal Omnibus in BA waiting for my 9pm bus - I got here at 630pm, better to be early! And I'm reflecting on how mental (or brave) I am... I do get a little sense of pride and I smile when I think about what I do/what I am doing! So I'm ill now, really ill (mum …
No more wine, bread and carb based meals!!!
Hi All
I´m just chilling in the hostel in Cordoba before I catch my Bus at 2230pm. Only a 10 hour bus to Mendoza so not too bad! Ive made friends with two English girls in my hostel from Bath Uni and they are traveling on the same bus as me tonight and staying in the same hostel as me in Mendoza which is cool.
So Cordoba is a busy …
Cordoba
Waiting for the bus to Cordoba, we met a few interesting people. One was a 63 yo Canadian who has been traveling in South America for a couple of years. Amazingly he has been doing this with no savings and on just his $250 a month pension. He was managing to do this by Wwoofing - working for food and accommodation on organic farms. We'll definitely …
Kind of getting tired of cities by now...
As the title suggests, you can have too much of cities and I was at the limit... I wanted to move on from Mendoza, it was a nice enough place and I know I'd not done some of the essential activities while there, but I needed a new scenery, buzz, bus ride and a rejuvenated brain - so Córdoba it was.
The original plan was to head from …
Trotting Around Cordoba
Cordoba is the second largest city in Argentina, however the difference from BA was huge. It was nowhere near in the same league as BA. Once we'd wandered around the city, which did have some good features, I think both Crag and I felt that maybe it was an unnecessary stop on our trip. So to remedy this we decided to look at the activities on offer …

I liked the hostel well enough, but I didn't like Cordoba. It is definitely a city that can be missed. The hostel was a bit older and it showed, but it was clean, had a good kitchen, and a nice common space. The location was good as well.

This hostel was very friendly and encouraged you to mix with other roommates. Great social area, located in centre of town and very relaxing!

The most helpful, friendly staff and owners i have ever met. A bus strike left us stranded in Cordoba and they have done everything they can to accommodate us, leaving us free of any hassle or stress. They also helped us book our hostel in Salta as it was proving difficut to find one that wasnt booked out due to a public holiday.
It's a small hostel so it has a nice homely, cosy feel to it. Its easy to meet people and its a comfy place to hang out. Its also right in the centre of town.
i would highly reccomend it to anybody.

This was our longest stay in a hostel since beginning our South American trip 3 weeks ago and found it to be charming, helpful, well-laid out and good value for money.
The provided towels were a nice touch and the staff, particularly Marcella, were really helpful.
Would definitely recommend. Thanks guys!
