2 hours in Monaco

ok, it was more "collecting a new country" than being really interested in Monaco. Strange, when you go there from Nice airport by bus it costs you 18 € one way, when you go from Nice bus terminal it costs 1 € one way. Monaco is a very clean city. I have never seen so many big and expensive cars. I saw the casino and the castle. Nice, but not spectacular.

Nice

... have an amazing view from Colline du Chateau. On saturday (November 28) we had sunshine and 19 degrees (end of November) and I was even swimming in the sea (15 gegrees), on sunday, November 29 we had rain and thunderstorms so that caused a delay of the plane of three hours. Best breakfast in town you find in "Les pains a tables" close to the market. Nice is a city I´d love to visit once a year minimum.....

Less than 4 weeks to go.....

... upon me it feels very strange and somewhat daunting. But to my knowledge no one has ever died from teaching children so I am sure I will survive.... My Amazon book order should arrive soon to inspire me. I am really looking forward to discovering the 100 things you can do with a paper plate. Life is never going to be the same!!

More when I start travelling...

Boring drive day so here is life in Scooby

... Moochelin star cooking It is my job to drive everywhere and keep Scoobs in good health, in return it is Kim's job to cook and clean... sounds like old school type casting but it works! The food has been great (and so has the driving) Kim has even joked about writing a Cookbook for campervaning. We have a 2 burner stove, griller and oven, as well as a small fridge/freezer and limited storage space, so our food is always super fresh. The day always starts with our ...

... at least 20) everything from lemon to vanilla, creme caramel, raspberry, nougat and fig! We munched on our teeny treats and decided we'd had enough sightseeing for the day and it was time to head home.

Although we would have liked to do a similar day trip to Monaco and Cap d'ail, the weather was a bit ****** the next few days and the majority of the sights at these spots were the awesome beaches, plus we needed some chill time too. Gotta save something for next time right? And of ...

Propper holiday

... br>We have worked out the French system- duck and weave across the pedestrian crossings as they drive straight through whether they are red or green. It took us a while to suss out the public or private beach system but I quite enjoyed the pebble beaches- your feet get a massage and you don't get sand in unfortunate places. The water gets deep quite quickly close to the ...

... that is used for the Formula One ferrari race through the middle of the city. Our evening activity was a one game date with a Nice bowling alley and then dinner next door. It was baked chicken, French fries, and apple pie. After walking back to the hotel we all decided to take night walk past a war monument and walk along the rocky beach. From there we explored the old section of ...

Matisse museum and Roman archeology in Nice

On a hill above the old and new cities of Nice is the site of a 3rd century Roman town called Cemenelum. At this site now are the archeological digs, a Franciscan monastery and church, a museum for the artist Henri Matisse and a public park. We spent much of the day in this area, basking in the sunshine and absorbing history. The Matisse museum was really great, with lots of his drawings, paintings, paper cutout assemblies, prints and weavings. He was an ...
