Konichiwa from Hiroshima!
Today was another beautiful day in Hiroshima that was full of great moments, sadness, goosebumps and new outlooks. To start our day we went to visit the A-Bomb dome that was one of the only buildings left standing even though the bomb was dropped almost right on top of it but Jord said that it was kind of protected due …

Konichiwa from Hiroshima!
Jord and I arrived on the perfect day in Hiroshima as the sun was shining and the temperature was perfect! It's a beautiful city surrounded …

The Foreigner in Hiroshima

A travel blog entry by modernsamuraij

So far each city I've visited in Japan has had its own distinctive feel to it and Hiroshima is no exception. While Tokyo is vast, complex and lively and Kyoto is more peaceful, ordered and photogenic, Hiroshima is very modern with lots of space around its buildings, in fact it feels very much like a North American city. Given the city had to be …

I stayed in two other K's hostels and this one is of the same standard for sure. I got 500Y discount with my stamp card. Bunk beds are comfortable and plenty of space to leave your backpack. They have a nice rooftop terrace where you can relax. Showers and bathrooms are clean and common area is very welcoming. Location close to the station is great. . . Recommended.

So far it's been great! The ladies at the front desk were super cheerful and extremely helpful. They helped us figure out what to do in Hiroshima, how to get around and helped us book our next bus to Kyoto. The hostel is extremely clean and the common room is pretty sweet. The hostel was in walking distance to everything and so far we've been very pleased.

I chose K's House because it is very closed to Hiroshima station. We just followed the tram line. Very convenient as this hostel is in the middle of the city. There is 711 store closed to the hostel. We just need to walk 20 minutes to Genbaku dome.

The hostel waas very clean and the front desk was very helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Even though you have to share a bathroom with everyone on your floor it is very clean and everybody picks up after themselves. I met many new people that I hope to stay in contact with. A great way to meet people from around the world. Also a great experience to try something new.
