Z hotelem jsme byli spokojeni.

Our 8 days in Peru were probably the most exhausting of our three month journey in South America, due largely to the high altitude………… 230;oh, to be 20 years younger!!! In summary, a once in a lifetime experience and a fantastic way to spend the winter. Heading home in one week after a one week stay in Florida to visit family and ...

... evening. I had prepared quinoa taboulleh and homemade tahini paste for Mili and Sebastian. We ate this along with chicken prepared by Jessie. Sebastian pointed out how green the table looked (not enough meat) but said it tasted good! Phew. Playing it safe and avoiding disasters #falafelfailof2013

Mili is headed to Cusco for 3 days with her client and so Sebastian is in charge of babysitting me. We have volunteering, sushi and fiesta planned for tomorrow. That's it for now!

... buses today for our tour that’s supposed to be seven hours but ultimately turns out to be about nine hours – probably about three hours of that time was in traffic. It’s horrendous here in Lima. While New York City has 100,000 cabs, Lima has 200,000 so you can imagine the confusion. The reason for all the cabs is that it’s just such an easy job to apply for and get. A few years ago when ...

I arose early this morning to catch my flight to Lima. That was pretty uneventful, though I was exhausted. Landing back in Lima was quite a transition from Cusco, it had the hustle and bustle of a third world city. The weather was extremely overcast, something I had read Lima is know for. It reminded me of our marine layer at home. I was picked up by a driver from my hotel, who recognized me by my lost and clueless expression, and we braved the traffic and insane driving all the way ...
