Z hotelem jsme byli spokojeni.

Altitude sickness was a concern for us and we had prepared by taking tablets but as soon as we stepped off the plane we could feel the difference in the air. Walking up a ramp in the airport we got breathless and had to walk really slowly and breath deeply. We were broken into small groups and met by our tour guide Elga and driver Eduardo who ...

... We arrive at this very large modern semi-open air shopping complex that shows all the signs of a large Shopping Complex/precinct. All the brands are here and the centre is well serviced by restaurants, cafes and a good taxi service hub. Very nice we must say. We walked around for a couple of hours and it is now time to head to Yaya's place. We arrived at about 1.30pm. Uncle Marco was already there, as was Aunty Frinee, Coro and ...

... a lot of the children have chosen not to come back to the communities so Edwardo our guide thinks that in another 20 years, this will only be a tourist attraction and not a functioning community - they have a President, Mayor etc and life isn't as hard as it used to be when they were totally self sufficient. The people drink this water - Edwardo said we would go home in a coffin if we did, but their stomachs are acclimatised to it.

... lazy mornings. We even felt like a taste of home and went to a shopping centre for a tgi fridays dinner. Ashamed? Not at all. The lomo saltadas dinners can wait for another time. What an incredible country, I've seen and experienced the most varied and unexpected places, I never expected my travelling experience here to be quite so eye opening. In order to try not to forget any one place, or let them blur into one due to the fast pace with which ...
