Owned by a Canadian guy named Troy so it was refreshing to have that. Staff is very friendly and easy to chat with. Locations great! I'm staying for a week.

This hostel is all geared up for people ready to party at the Half and Full Moon parties. A little pricey compared to other hostels but the atmosphere is pretty good as is the food and staff. Free neon panit to get you party ready!!

We did it! Came out a little banged up. Cut my foot on some glass, and we both got some nasty bruises and bumps and have both had better mornings but well worth it! Meet so many new people and made friends who hopefully one day i will see again. A guy named Josh Cox wants to travel and meet up with me next year in New Zealand! That's pretty sweet. …

Hung out yesterday, had a lazy morning then went to Haad Rin Beach, got our last cheap pedicures, lunch, and did some shopping. Got our attire for the full moon party and some souvenirs. Sorry mom and dad couldn't find you anything to bring back from thailand. Nothing really special here that you can't get in Mexico and the rest is just worthless …

It's Charles. The trip to Koh Phanghan was pretty easy. A minibus picked us up at our hotel and brought us to the pier. We then took a ferry to the next island. It took us about 2.5 hours. The pier on Koh Samui is very close to the airport so we were able to see a few planes really low in the sky as they were arriving or departing. That was pretty cool.

We Chased Sharks! It is True!

... spotted another Black Tip Reef SHARK! We both immediately got excited, gave the signal and chased this one as well. Melinda did well to get a photo of it as it was moving and we were swimming hard to keep up with it! It was trying to get away from us (unlike the first one) and it got shallower and closer to the beach (within 100m), changing direction regularly and in only 1m depth of water! Was way cool!

So we had both chased sharks for the day, which was ...
