... trouble believing how difficult I found diving to be. With only a few buttons to control, a breathing technique or two, I still managed to confuse everything under water. The time under water was quite surreal and partly unexplainable. I recall during my first dive, I could see everything, and move quite freely, but after swimming as much as I have in the past, you remember to hold your breath under water. And while I was diving, by muscle memory, there were times I forgot to breath! ...

After last nights fiascos, no one is really fancying too many ...

... down the road to find a hostel. We came across a street which had a couple of guest houses so we thought we'd start by looking there. There were a few rooms on offer but a lovely lady said she would give us discount on a fan room so we could have it for 300 baht a night so 600 baht for two nights, this was pretty cheap so we thought why not. The room was basic, a bed, a mirror, a toilet and a shower but it was reasonably clean and seemed ...

... hour, so I go to the bus stop at 8:20am. Naturally, the bus arrives at 9:10am. The wait doesn't particularly worry me though- if I sit long enough in one place, inevitably a local will come and join me. It's true that Thai people are some of the friendliest people in the world because they genuinely seem to be willing to put whatever was on their agenda on hold just to keep me company. Today, it's a local shop owner and we exchange his 10 words in English for my 5 words in ...
