    The last couple of days I've been getting orientated, sorting out my new Indian phone no (i'll add on facebook) and searching for malaria prevention... Savitri is a doctor and worked as a GP for many years in London, so she was surprised when I told her I had no tablets for the areas of India I plan to be... So far I haven't even seen a mosquito, but they are pretty dangerous round ...

    ... of breath and tingling digits) I did bring juice and
    chocolate. When I explained my problems they checked my oxygen level and…I was fine, above average actually, and my shortness of breath was actually me hyperventilating… I was having a slight panic attack due to the thought of my parents having to spend the night in the hospital! I stopped hyperventilating immediately and we all had a good laugh at that one

    ... about India before we arrived, with one traveller even saying "India stands for I'd Never Do It Again" but despite the heat and chaos, we'd definitely disagree with them based on our experience so far! We're very sad to leave Pune, not helped by the fact we're about to board a 14 hour sleeper bus, but also excited about getting back on the road. Onwards to Hampi, Goa and Kerala!     ... enjoyable sites; an incredible Jain temple built entirely from marble (as Jain religion doesn’t believe in harming any living things and insects could live and die in holes in concrete); a massive cow shed in the middle of the city, where the cows were so well treated they even got given desserts; and a cycle down marine drive, where the novelty of cycling a child’s bike with no functioning brakes was beginning to wear off.

    Obviously we were having too much fun ...

    It all works out somehow...

    ... the hour. It was actually a pleasant experience and I do owe them a thank you card since they continued to deal with me for the next two weeks because of having to change my bandages…which to be honest, I could have done myself but, doctor’s orders.
