Travel Blogs from Miami Beach
We dropped off Eric (hire car) at Atlanta airport and got a plane to Miami! Miami is one of my favourite places anywhere and I have spent the last 6 years telling Lou how good it is, so I was devastated when we landed and it was chucking it down. The rain didn't stop for the 3 days, nonetheless, the party doesn't stop in Miami for anything!!! …
My most interesting experience of Miami was in the first 2 hours of being there. First, I met Murray. A fast talking American property developer trying his luck at picking up tourists on his way to move his car before it rained. I was wandering and he showed me some scenic streets, I learnt about pressures he gets from his family and where the most …
I searched long and hard for a ride from New Orleans to Florida. I tried asking at truck stops, I tried websites like craigslist and others, but failed and rather than risk my life on another dodgy Greyhound bus, I resorted to the airlines. A great website I have found for cheap flights in the USA is www.kayak.com. I found a flight for $140 which …

Historical Traveler Reviews Jazz on South Beach Hostel Miami Beach
me and my boyfriend stayed here at the end of august it was a great find. The staff were so so helpful and very plesent which is always a great start, are room was great it had all the amenties that we needed like a safe, fridge, iron, hair dryer. the room was kept spotless every day by the cleaning lady who did a great job. i would definately recommend this hotel to anyone and would return myself!!
An very pleasant experience
We had an excellent stay in the Hotel Atlantica. The hotel has a special touch, very clean and offers an excellent price / service ratio.
The swiss management knows how to take care of their guests and with just about 30 rooms, it is has a familiar ambience which made our stay a success.
While only aobut 100 meter from the beach it is not in the middle of the busy Ocean Drive and although we could go out and party half of the night, we had a very good and quiet second half in our rooms.
Recommended to everyone else.
A great palce to stay
Believe all of the other reviews, the Atlantica is a hiden gem in South Beach! Not flashy or Art Deco, but clean, roomy, and well priced. Included breakfast is a good continental, breads, cereal, juice and coffee. We will stay there again.
I was very positively surprised about the value and
cleanliness of Atlantica Hotel. The whole staff was
very courteous and helpfull. It made my stay most
memorable and pleasant in South Beach.
Simple . Clean . Quiet . Love it!
I recommend this place to anyone who wants a clean and quiet hotel with excellent customer service. The rooms are simple but very clean and in good condition. The hotel is quiet because it enforces a no outside guest policy past midnight; the front door is locked and a friendly staff person lets you in. This means no loud parties keeping you up at night. The hotel is conveniently located near the beach and the clubs/restaurants. Atlantica is a great deal.
A clean, queen size room that included a safe and a refrigerator. Parking is available in a nearby lot for $10.00 or you can park on the street for $1.00 per hour. Metered parking is not enforced between midnight and 9:00AM. The beach is a five minute walk and the hotel provides towels.
Very clean hotel. Spacious. Great location. I was so nervous about getting a cheap room in south beach because all the cheap hotels had awful reviews. This was the only hotel below $100 a night that didn't have any bad reviews, so we crossed our fingers. It wound up being perfect $80 plus $10 for parking-very inexpensive. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone going to south beach.
A Hidden Gem in South Beach
I stayed at the Atlantica for a weekend during spring break - amazingly this hotel managed to keep they're rates reasonable at $79/night during a time when most hotels in the area ridiculously increase their prices.
This is not a luxury hotel but it is charming, clean, well maintained, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in was of good size and was equipped with all the amenities you would want a room to have - blow dryer, iron, safe, fridge. Parking is only $10/night one block away from the hotel. And remarkably this hotel is quiet - a rarity in S Beach! The Atlantica certainly surpassed my expectations for a 2 star hotel!
Swiss Quality stay in South Beach Florida
We are a Swiss Family and enjoyed our stay in Hotel Atlantica. The place is located very conveniently with the beach, restaurants, clubs, stores, etc. within a short walk. Still the neighbourhood is quiet and save, very important for a good night sleep. Some more features we appreciated: very clean, reasonably priced, friendly staff, free continental breakfast, room contains all the extras you need i.e.
fridge, safe, ironing board, TV, alarmclock, air conditioning. For a future stay in Miami Beach we would choose Hotel Atlantica again!
Best Value in South Beach
This place is clean. It's close. It's cozy. It's relaxed. It is not trendy. Or loud. Or on the beaten path.Hotel Atlantica is a great value and a little quirky (no bathtub stoppers or remotes are in the room -- you have to ask), but the staff is very helpful and it's a quick walk to what you're in South Beach to do.
