Lovely place to arrive to, friendly, clean and comfortable and very well organised, fun, but with certain rules keeping it strictly out of the full party hostel list.
I only mark this down as our room was moist and leaky roof during the heavy rains.
Free breakfast very good variety and bbq great value. owners friendly and accommodating. Would definitely reccommend.

As well as many children who live in shacks in the Townships, the school also has a surprising number of children from relatively affluent backgrounds. What is nice is that I genuinely could not guess which these are. In terms of attitude, as well as material ...

We said this four years ago, and we came back much sooner than we originally intended, but Dennis and I really want to come back in a couple of decades to see the country's progress. You can almost feel the change taking place, particularly in our generation. Twenty years after it ended, however, the legacy of apartheid is still strong, and black, white and colored South Africans are worse off because of it. Cat Tally: ...

... some African boys dancing with shakers on their boots… pretty exciting stuff.

I got to check out the South African Music Store with our Music professor, Dr. Marshall. Besides being a little more tourist-y than I expected, everything there was cool; I finally got a certain gift I’ve been looking for! Afterwards, Dr. Marshall and I had a stroll through the Company Gardens where I had seen the boys dancing, and saw some new and ...

... it down – there’s absolutely no judgment in this town. Although, it was so sad when these two 7 yr old girls were brought to the stage and started dancing like they were 30 yr old strippers. It was almost like a dance competition and all of the adults and men were just starring... it’s hard to imagine a life like that. Once we were tired of the dancing (or disturbed), Megan, Tim, Corey, and I headed to the soccer fields. We split into two teams… well it ...

... like one of the pieces. The art focus continues with a popular gallery nearby and small, 30 seat boutique cinema showing the latest movies as well as local art house. The latter area is open to day trippers, as well the restaurant that is perfect for meetings or a fine dining experience in newly refurbished surroundings. Pics are now up. Continuing with the French theme we headed for a quick visit to Stellenboch, the second oldest European settlement in Southern ...
