... br> Anyway, the taxi arrived and transported us swiftly to the train station, and what a station it is. Multi-level, multi platform, multi everything. It even had a fish and chip shop !!! Everything worked to plan and once the train arrived we boarded, found our seat and began to sweat.

... a "Hop-on-hop-off" 48 hour bus ticket and joined the umbrella brigade at all the hotspots. Our SA locals called this kind of rain "motreen" which aptly describes it. It does not feel like a big deal but makes you pretty wet, nonetheless.

Interestingly, and very unlike Croatia, 60% of Czechs are atheist and 33% are Catholic. The other 7% didn't provide information in the survey.

... After months of inefficiency, I was looking forward to some German efficiency. The kind where people do what they say they're going to do, when they say they are going to do it. There's no Bolivian ladies piling their whole lives on buses (including their 5 small screaming children), there's no one yelling "hola bonita" from across the road, but there IS good street meat like South America (even the kind that doesn't give you salmonella and a **** yourself ...

I was getting quite good at sleeping. Everyone else seemed to get up before I raised an eyelid. It was an amazing feeling. I hadn't felt rested for months. The morning passed in a gentle swell of Sudoku, washing clothes and lolling. It was hot, then it stormed, then it was hot again. The pattern repeated itself. Today started great. Actually got a good sleep, even though the mattress was like rock and the pillows were like marshmallows. Had breakfast and then a quick transfer to the airport and ready for the next leg. As I walked around trying to find my check-in counter, I started to see a build up of young girls looking in my direction. They all had cameras. I started to hear screams behind me.
