... impressed myself with how fluent I finally became. Or perhaps it was simply my confidence that went up...?

As unimpressed as I may have been, it was a change that I welcomed. I always believe that too much of a good thing can sometimes be boring. At least I wasn't tempted with shopping for more shoes!
