This morning I left Africa! It is so strange to think that I was ever in Africa, and that I have already left. When I boarded my British Airways plane my African life changed immediately. John and I made it to London at last. Rainy, rainy day it was yesterday, so our outbound flight to London was delayed for 4 hours. Scheduled to take off at 18:45, we did not leave Minnesota ground until 22:00. It was an extremely long flight - 7 hours and 20 minutes to be exact. It could have been longer, but the pilot promised us he would work with Air Traffic Control to "cut a few corners" to get us all to London sooner. Arrived in London at 12:50 - London time. Waking up was hard. After breakfast we went back to the Palace and saw the changing of the guard. We left about half way through once they got into the palace grounds because it got boring.
