Today we drove 257 miles from Elk Lake, through Bend to Crater Lake and finally ending in Ashland. Crater Lake was amazing. Quotes from the kids include: "That is so blue. It is nothing like the Willamette River." and "It looks like an aquarium." We've had a great day and are now resting comfortably in the wonderful Ashland Hostel.

... and an abundance of wildflowers. Did I ever mention thus far how huge the dandelions are? We reached the peak where we could see many mountains in the distance, including Mt Shasta (we think as it was obscured in smoke), downtown Ashland and the buildings near the condo, Emigrant lake, and two families of deer (mom with babies). All in all it was great to get outside and get some air (not so fresh ...
