Service was good, although we did have the travel agent at the hostel help us to book a tour which was horrible. Rooms were clean, bathroom and showers were clean. Breakfast was simple, but still good and included in the board.

Day 1: November 7, 2013
Last night we arrived in Arusha at about 23.00. It was definitely the longest journey we have made since we started our worldwide trip. Let me briefly take you through its itinerary:

... it the smallest and lowest quality church I had ever been to...but also one of the most joyful. The small congregation of twenty people had their hands in the air, and when the Yamaha keyboard kept cutting out, then continued anyways, keeping the beat with their feet, and hands. ... 2 cubs of approx 4 months who were laying out in the sun. We observed the cubs frolicking until they moved into the shade. We located the rest of the pride about 1km away, a group of approx 12 females who were snoozing by the carcass of a wildebeest with several vultures and a Maribou Stalk keeping close watch. The stalk was not able to get any of the carcass but snatched a snake out of the grass and gobbled it down in short order We moved on and ...
... point, we saw a red dik-dik - which is a kind of forest deer and normally very shy -but- this one was obviously a Bob Marley fan. Thankfully, after the 3rd rendition of 'Buffalo Soldier' the battery in his gave out :)
With the exception of the heat and humidity, the climb through the forest was pretty easy. We stopped a couple of times for water breaks, once beside a huge fig tree (you actually walk through the roots) and once beside a nice forest ...
