... climbing over each other to reach the food. They weren't the most agile or coordinated but I got one to take a piece of chicken. From feedings we moved to experiences. First was the wombat experience. Here we met Tonka. He is cute!! He is also very sociable and loves being fussed and cuddled. After Cyclone Yasi the park was closed for 12 weeks and he stopped eating. They thought he was sick but the vets couldn't find anything wrong. ...

... done to the underneath of the Winney and had to be there at 7am on Thursday morning so we booked into Magnetic Gateway Holiday Park which was only a few kilometres from where we had to go. We took the opportunity to get some washing done.

With the welding done, we picked up a few groceries and headed to Saunders Beach - about 25km north of Townsville. This is another extremely popular spot. We were lucky to squeeze into a spot.

Leaving Hughenden, we were on the last leg of the trip that would see us reach the Pacific ocean. Having left the Indian Ocean 17 days before..

We passed through several towns on the way. All were well kept and had the iconic wide open main streets.
