... so most are very secluded. By 2pm we had reached our hostel which was situated right on the beach overlooking one of the many bays on the island. After sitting down travelling all day we felt we needed to stretch our legs so, as usual, went for a little explore of the surrounding area finding very little but a few pretty viewpoints. ... an ice cream.. once she had me pinned down with my hands occupied with a cone and the inability to run she broached the subject of a visit to the top of the rock...

Even the cold ice cream did little to quell the sweat that broke out on my brow..
But she foresaw the histrionics and decided it would be OK to drive up to the top..

... kinda gives it away that you have to drink!) but it was well worth it, as we had a fab night! And funny enough, I won the second prize. I didn't think I had won at first, as I had crossed out one 64 but not the other one, so I wasn't sure if I had made a mistake - but it obviously turned out that I did. And the prize was an upgrade to a private ensuite room with a balcony and an ocean view - it was fantastic! So basically, we had a fab night with lots of cool people, and woke up ...

... am of these slithery horrid things - so for me this was quite an accomplishment. When it turned its head to look at me I had enough and handed (half of) it back. The moment came to meet our koala friends and it was met with the appropriate 'aahhhhhh' by everyone.
