great location, enough of everything, 2 kitchens lots of showers, washing sink on the roof, comfy beds, great social areas, not too noisy, I know I'm old, great outdoor space. Really well set up but not a "party hostel" highly recommend.

This hostel was great - really friendly staff, safe and secure and most of all had a really good vibe. The communal areas were perfect and there is loads to do, both in the hostel and the tours etc that the hostel can provide

Felt very at home here, received a proper welcome and tour of the place, sorted out the tours we wanted straight away. Great TV also. Convenient for the centre of town if you don't mind a 5 minute walk. Felt very secure there and they made us very welcome to stay the last day for our 9pm bus out.

Fabulous facilities, Friendly staff, private single room was small though and games room is a little cramped but very good choice for some relaxation. Free transfer to city in the morning from 9-10.30am

Yes, it has moved outside of the central part of town, but it is only a 4 sole taxi ride away. The hostel is very friendly, very safe with excellent security, two of the biggest tvs ever for a bit of tv or dvd watching. A cracking kitchen and a nearby supermarket.
This hostel has such a friendly atmosphere and you end up making friends with everyone and anyone.
      Very much recommended!!!!!

Yet another night passed spent on public transport, from Ica onto Arequipa, and we pulled into the bus station at around 10am on Tuesday morning, having managed to book the same bus as Peter and Lucy were joining from Nazca. Negotiating the typically busy taxi rank, all 5 of us piled into an estate with space for just 4 about people, and we went to …

In La Paz I wandered to the bus station and jumped on board a bus on route to Arequipa! I was really excited to be going back to Peru. It's hard to describe but I had this feeling about Peru like I was somehow connected to it in a way... I dunno call me weird but I love Peru.

Next up was a few days in Arequipa which was our base for completing a 3d 2n trekking tour in the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world.

First day in Arequipa was a bit of a write off as neither of us coped well with the altitude, so lot's of water, coca leaves and sleep was the order of the day. We woke up on day two …
