Rest and relaxation in Arequipa
Day 18 January 21st - I wake up on the overnight bus to some movie about a Raccoon picking on a guy who moved his family to the woodlands. Confusing to say the least. Last night we stopped at Ica and so Romeo and Juliet had to return to their original seats, it was getting to the point of throwing up all over them.
I was expecting to …
Monasteries and Mummies
The journey to Arequipa from Santiago was a long one - 28hrs by bus to Arica in the north of Chile, a taxi-colectivo to the border, cross the border into Peru, taxi-colectivo to Tacna and finally an 8hr bus to Arequipa.
Arequipa is a beautiful city. In the centre around the plaza de armas were old ornate buildings and cathedrals. The only …
PERU!

great location, enough of everything, 2 kitchens lots of showers, washing sink on the roof, comfy beds, great social areas, not too noisy, I know I'm old, great outdoor space. Really well set up but not a "party hostel" highly recommend.

this is seriously one of the best hostals I have stayed in. Set in a beautiful old house / mansion it is really beautiful and spacious with two kitchens, 2 lounge areas and a pool room. The dorms are verz spacious. Highly recommend

This hostel was great - really friendly staff, safe and secure and most of all had a really good vibe. The communal areas were perfect and there is loads to do, both in the hostel and the tours etc that the hostel can provide

Felt very at home here, received a proper welcome and tour of the place, sorted out the tours we wanted straight away. Great TV also. Convenient for the centre of town if you don't mind a 5 minute walk. Felt very secure there and they made us very welcome to stay the last day for our 9pm bus out.

Fabulous facilities, Friendly staff, private single room was small though and games room is a little cramped but very good choice for some relaxation. Free transfer to city in the morning from 9-10.30am

Yes, it has moved outside of the central part of town, but it is only a 4 sole taxi ride away. The hostel is very friendly, very safe with excellent security, two of the biggest tvs ever for a bit of tv or dvd watching. A cracking kitchen and a nearby supermarket.
This hostel has such a friendly atmosphere and you end up making friends with everyone and anyone.
Very much recommended!!!!!
