Monday: We woke up to a chilly morning in the Dolomites. It is so beautiful looking out the window with the bell tower and swiss chalets behind it on the green mountainside, plus the soaring Dolomites behind that. I went to the grocery store first thing. It was small, but had everything. I picked up some berries, sausages, bread and some snacks for the train ride. Some funny things I saw included "American Sandwich" bread and ...

The square has a reverence about it, with people moving about quietly and respectfully. Two walks have plaques and picture depictions of the treatment and loss of jewish people.

Well, now that I've written my long-winded story, I am off to bed for the night. I've posted lots of pictures from our water taxi ride and excursion today :)

... that she could make her own necklace made of murano glass for 2 euros ... It looks amazing! We had more fun walking along the narrow passageways than seeing the Rialto bridge ... Getting lost is much more fun than the tourist traps! We came home and started to relax as everyone was tired from yesterday's fiasco. A little wine and heineken fixes everything! We chatted with Junior and Barbara and are glad that we ...
