We’ve spent eight very relaxing days at sea, reading, eating, and getting to know our fellow passengers, and we find lots to keep us busy on the ship. We generally sleep in later aided by moving our clock forward an hour every other day so we’ll be on European time when we get to our first port. Twenty three hour days are probably the only disadvantage of a western-bound transatlantic crossing. I start my day with a visit to the fitness center for a ...

... of Venice to make it to the people mover to get off the island. While I thought it was a tad insane and ridiculous the lengths this girl went to to steal a poster, bolting through the streets of Venice laughing hysterically was quite fun. Evidently it ...

... restaurant as I said before is located in the Ghetto but is owned by a Christian Egyptian and the chef is from Bangladesh. Amazing food and the owner was a great guy. We had a great dinner, stayed late and enjoyed the nightlife that is missed when traveling on a cruise ship. After dinner we started back on the vaporetta's and met some people to which we gave the remainder of our vaporetta tickets.. Well, as the saying goes, no good deed goes unpunished, we got off ...

... Fortunately, a couple of different friends had recommended a few spots to check out around town. We were close to one Jen had raved about, so sat ourselves at an outdoor table at Osteria L'Orto dei Mori and gave our legs and backs a break. Before we even got to the food, we ordered our first glasses of Prosecco, a drink I fell immediately head over heels for and wonder how it took me until the age of 34 to discover (as well ...
