When the moon hits your eye....that's AMORE!

... the stuff you find in the corner of a room on the floor.... Got our money back and decided to wait until we arrived to find food minus the dust balls. Toilets on the train are a hole over the tracks also. Don didn't believe me so he went and had a look... We had a laugh at this for a good while. Our accommodation was 100 m from the train station which we planned well. Dropped our bags, got changed and headed out to explore the island of venice. ...

First day in Venice

With Florence trailing behind us as the train whisked away from it, we headed toward our next destination on our adventure, Venice. As we exited of the train, we made our way to hotel, which was a different hotel then the one we originally planned to go to because it was way too sketchy. ... of prosecco. Very nice and even nicer at 13.60 Euros (plus tip so I rounded it up to 15 Euros), very reasonable I think.

I went back to the hotel bar for a night cap and decided to try a beer but at 5 Euros will probably not do that again, I got half a litre of prosecco for that price at the restaurant! Anyway I'm now in my room uploading the first set of pictures and writing this journal.

Tomorrow's adventures will be on the islands of Venice.
