Archi Rossi Florence - comfortable accommodation

Our stay at Archi Rossi was great considering that it was a hostel. I was most happy with the good morning breakfast provided with the accommodation, where the bunk beds were quite comfortable; the on-suite bathroom cum toilet was convenient too.

Downsides were that there was only 1 washing machine functioning where there was a long waiting time and where only 1 euro coins were accepted (cost at 4 euros per load); the air-conditioning in the room was not functioning properly either.

We got the 3 beds with a private bathroom and everything was extremely clean. The wifi, however, is really slow especially during the nights when everybody is back and clogging up the bandwidth. I would definitely recommend this hostel to everything

We continued by train to Florence and it took just 2 hours by the high-speed train. Florence is the capital of the Tuscany region.

At Florence, we got off at the wrong station (the station names sound simular) so we had to walk about 35 minutes to the hostel that we were staying; otherwise, it would only have been a 6-minute walk!

I can't say the day started on the best of notes. A new girl came into our room at 4am and then proceeded to have a shower whilst blasting her music and then use the hairdryer on and off for half an hour. We all wanted to kill her but she was able to enlighten us that we were "all a bunch of *****es" when someone complained.

          I splurged …

After accomplishing not a lot yesterday we all decided to go separately today. Initially, I wanted to go to Pisa in the morning but I kinda had no choice; the doctor was calling. Apparently I have conjunctivitis (which only started this morning), a throat infection and slight bronchitis. Thus, three lots of antibiotics and 84€ later hopefully …

Super Cruise Day. Breakfast was amazing, a range of fruit, two coffee machines, eggs, pasta, rice, cereal and cakes. I'd even say it gave Cha Am a run for its money but then again there weren't any pancakes.

I tried the walking tour (and then six other friends joined) but it was pretty ****. The last was old and boring, she had a lot of …

This morning was weird, really, really weird. Police stopped me (and others) from getting off the boat at Saint Marks Square. There were no explanations in either English or Italian. A few minutes later I was escorted off the boat, but others had to stay. Weird things happen here so I just let it slide. The further I walked aware from the boat I …
