Lastnight didn't work out as planned. On our voucher for the free meal it said that the kitchen was open until half past nine, we arrived at 9:20 but apparently it closed at 9pm. *******n. The Aquarius has a great location, close to the beach and right in the centre. Their large rooms don't make you feel like you're sharing it with 7 other people. The balconies in each room make it very easy to socialize with your dorm mates as well. The bar is also a cool spot to hang out until you continue the party elsewhere.
The only minor issues:
There is only 1 bathroom to share for a room with 8 people.
One of the ladies behind reception who was always grumpy and had a chip on her shoulder.
Also a little annoying is that they wouldn't give out the stamp to get into the other bars until after midnight which made them useless...tip: try and ask for the stamps after you buy a drink but make sure you get it early.
Other than that, the hostel is great and I'd definitely head back there again when I visit Byron!
