    We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
    The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

    ... off at Piraeus. Time check. 17:05. Oh my. Still undecided, I made my way to the Blue Star Ferry office to confirm there really is a boat to Naxos at 17:30. Yep. Can I still get on. Yep. Okay, let me make a phone call. I turned on my phone and dialed the number for Sophi, my hostess on Naxos.     ... green colour I’ve ever seen, and even in the deeper parts we could see clearly all the way to the bottom. We decided to do a short boat cruise around the adjoining bays to see a number of grottoes in the limestone cliffs. These grottoes featured a mixture of algae and phosphorescence that generated some amazing colours due to reasons that were lost in translation, but they were quite spectacular all the same. ...

    ... part is trying to avoid bites, kicks, or getting stepped on. I was doing the best I could, but I could tell by their comments that some of the people at the stable thought I was going too slowly.

    Instead of speaking up for myself, I teared up. So embarrassing! I so wish I could control that, but it just happens sometimes. I felt stupid and slow and guilty for disappointing everyone and creating more work ...

    ... have buff arms when I came back to the states! That night was a pink toga party where everyone guessed togas. This toga party included traditional Greek dancing and plate well as a lot of pink ouzo. I was lucky enough to get chosen to sit in the middle of a big circle made up of all the party attendants.
