Mon. June 8. Day 4. Sunny & warm 30C Started the day with a river cruise along part of the 28 kms of the Danube that flows through Budapest, on its way to the Black Sea. Today was a big national holiday in Hungary - Revolution Day - commemorating the start of the revolution in 1848 against the rule of the Habsburgs. I have found it very interesting as different Hungarians try to explain this holiday to me. "Well, we would have won the revolution if the Habsburgs didn't call in the Russians..."
