... that was going to start so strike that one off. I was content to get back to put on the swimmers for a dip in the lake.

The water was a bit cool but the sun was still fierce. Paddled around a moored boat and out to chill thereafter, working on a savage tan for but minutes before back to the room. Blog up to date. Time for a shower and off to the Icon Gallery for a look.

... square has been finessed. The statue, the surrounding buildings, the lamp posts, even the mobile roasted chestnut sellers have fancy carts. Combined with the huge pillared buildings on the parental foundation side – holocaust and archaeological museum – I’m feeling very much like a citizen of ancient Rome. Dwarfed.

... after the afternoon heat had died down slightly. Arriving in the early evening also meant that for five glorious minutes, I had the castle all to myself, not another tourist in sight!

It was pretty much a perfect day on Lake Ohrid, and while you wouldn't think it, today was one of those rare instances when perfection could be improved upon - Spain beat Italy 4-0 in the Euro 2012 Final!!! íViva ...
