The largest hostel we've been too, great service, wicked happy hour and breakfast as well as themed dinner's all at an affordable price. You can also rent a bike from the hostel or use the TXL bus which is a great transport to and from the centre of the city.

Great place to hang out, with some very friendly characters behind the counter! It is based in a Turkish community, about 10 minutes by bus to Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) or about 40 minutes walk to Branderburg Gate.

I would highly recommend staying at this hostel. It is clean, spacious and very comfortable.

Scott's Marathon Entry at the bottom. Please avoid unless you want boring details about mile markers and isotonic drinks.

We arrived in Berlin at 3:20pm into the biggest, newest train station weŽd seen in Europe. It was grey and dull looking outside but there were people everywhere. Mandy and I had to split up for the …

I took an overnight bus from Krakow to Berlin. I was surprised to see the wide range of ages on the bus, seeing as I got on with the expectations that the it would full of other young tourists.

I arrived in Berlin early in the morning. I assumed it was the tired side of me that made if feel like forever until I finally arrived at my hostel …

I need to go back to Berlin. I've never spent so much time somewhere that I had tapped so insufficiently. I did find a nice hostel in an upper-middle class area of Northern Berlin. Close to the tram I was primed for some exploration into this last city of my adventure this place that I'd heard from so many people that "suited me" and "I had to s...

Last Day of the trip & Request for Mom's help

First things first, my ATM card is missing. We are not worried about it being stollen but think I dropped it from my inner coat pocket at some point taking the camera out. The last time I used it was at an ATM in Prague at a mall the morning of the 3rd. I had used it the day before upon our arrival at the Prague train station, but we didn't know...

          Last morning in Berlin

Today was our final day in Berlin and we woke up to lousy weather and to find that Berlin was dead on Sundays - thank god we hadn't planned a weekend break only! We'd decided to head back to the heart of the East for one final time, and I'd read that there was a cafe on Karl Marx Allee that had an exhibition in it on the history of the street. N...
