Culture shock in reverse
After a less than comfortable 20 hr bus ride from Iguazu (No Cama class for me this time) I arrived in BA with Roz the girl I had met in Iguaza. A quick shower and some very yummy food and we were off to discover some of what BA has to offer.
We walked for about 6hrs around San Telmo and centro BA. It is a beautiful city and very modern. More …
Recharge on Food for Buenos Aires
Friends and Family,
After our horrid bus ride, we decided to forgo any overnight bus, if we had the opportunity to avoid it. Instead of taking a 24 hour busride to Buenos Aires, we took a two hour flight from Puerto Iguazu. This was definitely the right move!
Buenos Aires is a historical city and has the most variety of any city in South …
Buenos Aires
We spent 10 nights in Buenos Aires as I really enjoyed the time I spent there in 2003. We booked into a Hostel in the San Telmo district which is filled with cobbled streets and colonial era buildings. It was the area the rich lived in before moving to Recoleta and allowing for a grungy street vibe. Walking around the city on our first day we …
Full Circle
So I have come full circle. I now sit two streets down from where I first arrived on the 5th march. Fresh with much anticipation and expectation, leaving the office routine, the traffic, the treadmill of corporate life, to venture out into the unknown. On a journey. A journey with a purpose, a journey to get away? A journey to keep moving forward, …

Spent 5 nights there as part of my first travel destination. Clean, safe, very friendly staff, met great people who gave me good backpacking advice/destinations and there was always something to do. Would go there again.

Clean hostel with four bed dorms (all ensuite) and private rooms, which are cleaned everyday. Breakfast is better than average (four kinds of cereals, bread and cake). Great dvd room (big flatscreen). Three computers with internet, which sometimes you have to wait for a couple of minutes.

More like a hotel than a hostel. The staff were great and breakfast was as good as it gets! This is a really friendly hostel - more mature than party. A good location in San Telmo.
