      ... to the snow. The views of the valley and the surrounding mountains were incredible. It wasn't long before there was snow on the edges of the track, and we steadied ourselves with our hiking poles against the steep slope to take photos of the phenomenon. For West Aussies being so close to snow is a real novelty. By this stage is was pretty cold and it was still raining so we pushed on to the hut.       ... sea lions sunbathing on the beach. Unfortunately the descent was nothing compared to the climb back up! Following a later lunch watching the surfers at St Clair Bay we headed slightly out of town to a free site in Ocean View.
