It's 10.03 and we've been on the road for about 3 and a half hours! It was an early start, with shower at 5.15, breakfast at 6, bags in the truck before 6.30 and leave! We had to leave so early as it's about an 11 hours drive and we needed to get out of Rio before the traffic began to build up. ... place is honestly beautiful, filled with wacky wall art and street sellers. If you are ever in Brazil, I could not recommend Santa Teresa more as it is completely stunning and relatively unknown to most tourists!
Here we found the most incredible tiled steps, with different tiles donated from around the world, and people playing Brazilian tunes on some crazy instruments.
