Today was the final day of our tour, but sadly we could not hike due to pouring rain. Luckily we are at a nice hotel in an actual town (Charmonix) which is a good place for a day off. We've all been relaxing Ryan on his phone and I spending an enjoyable day reading on the kobo. Mom and dad have just been walking around. That ...

... by a challenge we headed up to the glacier. It took about an hour and at the Chalet, we stopped and had lunch - great salad made fresh from the owners garden with goat cheese from the town we had just left. Delicious! Most pedestrian areas around Swiss lakes are simply gorgeous. Full of parks, sitting areas and sights to amaze. With a family of young children, and Tony, it is akin to a young version of turrets when trying to have a conversation.

... drive from Italy. We left around 7 am from Tuscany, driving north through Pisa to Genoa to the Mont Blanc tunnel. The drive was pretty uneventful. The scenary as we went through the mountains was breathtaking, especially once Mont Blanc came into view. The altitude of Mont Blanc at its highest point is 4500 ft and since you cannot drive over it, you must drive through it. ...
