I loved the old neighbourhoods!

Well, Sydney is a big city. I do not really like big cities, so, I quickly go to try finding little places, neighbourhoods, where one could imagine to be in a little village.

However, coming from the mountains I enjoyed the higher temperatures! My bags, I realised when opening them, were all damp from the mountain air, and I allowed them …

Royal National Park & Sydney Free Walking Tour

Until this morning, I intended to write about a walk in The Royal National Park but there is not much to write about my trip this time. Honestly speaking, this walk was a fiasco or just a good exercise. Actually I walked there only two and a half hours and I got tired. That was partly because it was hot and partly because I had been a bit tired …

Watson's Bay & Bondi-Coogee Coastal Walk

When I was in Sydney in 2004 and 2005, I visited many tourist attractions around the city. The most memorable tourist attraction of Sydney to me was Manly, where I visited with Jenny. I didn't swim at the time, but we strolled along the beautiful coast and she showed me her dance on the beach. It was much fan. This time, I felt like trying another …

Major change of plans

Not much to say... went to the travel agents to pick up my itinery and booking information today, all the while with an unusual feeling of worry and anxiety. Deep down all I wanted was a way out of the trip I had booked only yesterday... I just kept thinking about the resort that Jules & Mario had mentioned... Turtle Cove... Kept thinking I should …

Mood swings............ :-/

Now, I'm not sure who is reading this, but I guess for my own sanity I have to write some personal things down in amongst the stuff I'm seeing and doing... So, sorry if it's a bit self indulgent. Yesterday's catch up first... Beautiful sunny day in the city, 29 degrees and not a cloud! Decided to get some of the must see tourist attractions out of …

Nice relaxed and close to central station

the hostel is a little south of the big hustle of the city, walking distance to the Central station, in front of the Albert Park, in a lovely old renovated house. No free wifi, but well, that is how it goes in Australia. Bathrooms and kitchen very clean and ok, large rooms, nice courtyard where to eat. I maybe missed some relaxed seats to enjoy a good book in the evening...

    Good Budget Hostel for Sydney

Good location, 10 minute from the Central Train Station. The building is a little old, but the people are friendly and shower & kitchen are clean. Good value for Sydney.
