    ... off to St James Park. The excitement is building however not the nervous buildup we may experience latter in the tournament. A brief taxi ride drops us off in Dean Street to find a curry before the game. A little more flash (and expensive) than we were planning however is was bloody good. As we ate we could see the crowd building, the flow toward the stadium was now a pretty solid so we decide to join them. Talk about nose bleed altitude! Wow ...

    Today we drove to Newcastle and went to see Hadrian's wall at Wallsend because that was where the wall started. It was the site of a Roman fort called Segendunum and I got a Roman coin with Hadrian on it.

    ... in plenty of time, whereupon we joined 50000 springbok fans and the 5000 scots who weren't too cheap to shell out the big coin, in watching a great battle and an amazing Scottish try. A few beers later (but no Newcastle brown ale to be found!), I was back on the standing room only first class train back to London, arriving around midnight. Managed to watch.
