If you're into partying, you'll love this place. But don't plan on sleeping any. They were still laughing uproariously and singing Happy Birthday at 6am. Then it got quiet until 7:15 when the breakfast clattering began.

Gracias para un buen tiempo! Encontre personas muy buenas, que apoyaban con qualquier cosa. Eran mas como amigos, que solo trabaladores. Limpio y con cocina!

This hostel is amazing. We arrived at 7am and were greeted with a warm smile, a lovely breakfast and helpful information on what to do. Oh, and a room. The rooms are spotless and so are the bathrooms. This is one of the best kitchens that we have cooked in, in the whole of South America.
I would highly recommend this hostel.

We had some extra time in Chile so decided to head north to the coastal destination of La Serena. Being further north meant that it was slightly warmer and one morning we even managed to catch a few rays of sun on the roof terrace of our hostel. Our plan was to take it easy and relax here.

We took a stroll along the sea front which was a …

The journey from Salta to Chile is often described as one of the most scenic routes in the world, so we were quite gutted when the only bus we could find was a night bus as we thought we would miss out on all the amazing views. Luckily between 2am and around 7am (sunrise) the bus didn't cover much distance and spent a lot of time in a queue for the …

It feels odd but fantsatic to be back on the coast!! We had a long haul to get to La Serena. We took the bus from San Pedro to Antofagasta, which is a major port and from here we took a night bus to La Serena which was 12 hours away.

Needless to say we were pretty wiped when we arrived in La Serena, so after lunch we had a nice nap bef...
