Airlie Waterfront Backpackers Airlie Beach

When we arrived at Airlie Beach we checked into a very clean and smart hostel. Airlie Beach is an area where people go to access the Whitsunday Islands. The small town is mainly shops and restaurants on a long main street. Just behind that is the marina and lagoon. Decided to have a bit of beach/sun/sea time before we got to Melbourne so we flew from Japan to Brisbane. From there we flew to Hamilton Island on the East coast which, we discovered was too expensive for accommodation so we got a ferry to the mainland to a backpackers haven called Airlie Beach. Today, we booked to go on Ocean Rafting and get across to see Whitehaven Beach and see the Whitsunday Islands. It was amazing, our boat was like a large dingy with loads and loads of power, it was so much fun. Just off of the coast of Aerlie Beach there is a group of islands known as the Whitsundays. They're world heritage listed and a must-see for the majority of visitors to the Queensland Coast. We woke up in Airlie Beach where it was hot. Stephanie liked the heat but I stayed in the shade. We took a mini road trip around the area and found the falls which was dried up and an awesome beach.
