... try to go away. I've now mastered the spin and walk move and it seems to work. I'm amazed at the number of people who actually take the rose and are then surprised that they're being told to give the guy money while he masterfully avoids taking the rose when they hand it back to him. The bridge must have a spell on it that these guys can't pass because I saw a flower guy chase a couple with a flower right to the bottom and then stop, still yelling to them. ...

(If you're wondering, the website I used was http://www.venice-hotels.it/ which actually has a very good rate, especially compared to what the hotels own website was offering. So before you choose a hotel make sure you shop around a bit to get the best deal).

Although I have lost track of the days, I believe it was four days ago that we left Verona headed for Venice. Our journey didn't start as smooth as we would have like but it certainly did get better. As we left Verona we boarded one end of the train only to find someone else sitting in our seats, as it turned out we were on the wrong end.
