Another climb thwarted by weather

We rose at 5am for our pre-dawn walk up St Mary Peak. After a quick breaky, we drove the short distance to Wilpena Pound, parked the car and put layer after layer on to counter the cold morning. Started out at 6.00am in the dark with a torch each and wondering if we were going to get rained on or whether we would even see anything once the sun rose, given the prediction/forecast of a cloudy day.

... a half before getting our flight sorted. This line was a tad more entertaining though. A few people kept trying to cut the line and because everyone was tired and sick of being messed around, everyone got really mad. It was rather funny seeing people all but get on their knees and beg to be let in the front of the line. In the end we ended up getting accommodation at the Hilton hotel at the airport and they booked us another flight the next morning. It was a long day ...

... Meadows on her recommendation, before walking around the town and calling in to the Post Office. The lady there was able to point us in the direction of the original church and cemetery. None of the Lymburners are buried there, but I would imagine some of the children were christened at the church which unfortunately was no longer standing. ... Factory and travelled up and down many times. We waked down to the Torrens River, past Government House. The black swans were enjoying the water.
The Adelaide Hills was next on our agenda. Our first stop was Mt Lofty Summit with the Flinders Column. The view of the city of Adelaide, coast and country was spectacular.
