... After a super early drop off at 4.30am (thanks Dad xxxx), I checked in as Premium Economy only to be told I had been upgraded. I couldn’t believe my ears so asked the staff member to repeat himself. AMAZING – Business Class on the long flight! ... the Clipsal 500 - the V8 Supercar race, kind of the Oz version of NASCAR. Most of our time then was spent at the track or various off-track venues like the Stag Hotel bar. This time I’ve used up my '1 race per trip’ card at the Melbourne F1, so we have plenty of time to do the touristy sightseeing things. Turns out, there’s not all that many touristy things to see in Adelaide…so we go on pub/beer garden crawls ...

... back and gave him four passes to the exclusive Fringe Club (which only artists, VIPs & entry ticket holders can gain entry to). As we had already asked him where he was from, he said he was on his own, looked pretty chuffed with his club passes and decided to share two of them with us, while telling us how difficult they were to get hold of. We felt like celebs!

7.30 rolled round and we headed into the festival, found our venue, got a beer ...
