... we parked in a park in Parkes, set up the tent and repacked bags and sorted food and drink, all good. Another nice little town with a nice feel to it. We were using this as a stop off to visit the Utes in the Paddock again, been before but there was supposed to be more added. Its still an amazing site!! We've travelled around this area before and thought a wee stop at Lake Cargelligo, a beautiful town set on a huge lake, magic place.

After an easy night in the cabin, we planned to be on the road by 8am.... It was 8.30am, so not bad, by our standards! Definately something we need to improve on, though. First stop, after 2 hours of excruciatingly slow roadworks between Ballarat and Ararat (biggest Loser territory) was the "Big Koala" at Dadswells Bridge, for a photo and an ice cream for morning tea.
