... traditional dish, which came with potato dumplings and a few veggies. It was delicious! Loved the spices, and everything was cooked perfectly. I made a mental note to start cooking with paprika at home. After dinner we walked up and down the Danube, enjoying the lights and gorgeous historical sites. Day 2 My parents and I knew virtually nothing about Budapest's history, so when I suggested doing a free walking tour they were on board. We met the group ...

    Prague to Budapest

They couldn't speak English and when I got out they asked me what language ...

... were escorted into a pitch black room, and there we could hear the sounds of two other tourists and our male guide. From there we had to feel our way in between rooms (kitchen, bathroom, lounge room), then into the streets, over a bridge and into a cabin. We found it quite confronting not being able to see anything as we were questioning our every step. It gave us a tiny glimpse of what life is like for people with vision impairments, definitely ...

... a young lad of about twelve playing football miskicked and his ball hit me full in the face. I didn't see it coming so I was a bit stunned, but the lad came running over, sounded very concerned in Hungarian and then shook my hand. I nodded and mumbled and he seemed happy enough, so hopefully that was an appropriate response to being the victim of a flying ball in Hungary. We'd seen all there was to see in City Park, but I was still worried about this bus stop when I spotted ...
