This was a fantastic stay. I stayed in a six bed dorm, which was a new experience for me, but an opportunity to meet new travellers. The bed was comfortable, the room was spotless. The other travellers were respectful and interested in meeting new people.

The bathroom was very neat, however, perhaps not ideal having the toilet and shower in the same room.

Very well located for a first visit to Florence.

You must stay here, don't even think twice about it. Though you must book in advance. I booked several months in advance and so many people are trying to get in now and they are booked solid, usually a month or two out. It's worth the wait. Location is absolutely perfect.

The very reason why I went to Florence this weekend was today. A concert with Nek, an Italian singer whose music I've listened to since I was 16/17. I started the day with breakfast at the hostel, which is very nice and is called Academy Hostel. I'm staying in a room with four beds, and I'm sharing it with two girls and one guy from South Korea. …

Today was another lovely day in this beautiful city. I think I've fallen in love with Florence, it's probably the most beautiful city I've even been to. It's super nice, people are really friendly and the shopping is so good it's scary... I had breakfast at the hotel and afterwards I ran into Kimberley, a Canadian girl i shared a bunk bed with in a …

The sun was shining and the weather was nice and warm on my last day in Florence too, and after having breakfast with Kimberley and checking out, I went for a walk around the city. I walked towards the museum where Michelangelo's statue of David is exhibited, but the queue there was so long that I decided not to wait in line. I also tried to walk …

...And that was when I ruled the world.

I was 16 when I first arrived in Florence for my first of many more times to Italy. My hunger to know the Italian language, culture and its warm and friendly people grew fonder. Yes, I was addicted. The food, the lifestyle, the people and the art motivated my thirst for knowledge; I wanted to know everything associated with it. Trust charter fli...
