Really lovely hostel. It's pretty small and very chilled out. The people are real friendly and I would stay here again.

We stayed here back in Sept 2011 and we thought it was great. Clean rooms, large open kitchen area with plenty of fridge space and cooking space. Nice pool, free bus tour and 1km from beach. Also right round the corner from the skydive centre and across the road from woolworths.

The cleanest and friendliest hostel I stayed in whilst in Australia. An ideal hostel if you are skydiving on Mission Beach as it is just up the road.

We stayed in Absolute Backpackers for 3 nights in Dec, as soon as you walk in you can see how clean and well kept the hostel is. It has a large communal kitchen area, communal lounge with TV and dvd player, shared bathroom facilities and a nice pool area. There is a bar and super market just across the road. If you a looking for a couple of days to relax in the sun this is the place to stay. There isnt much to do activity wise in Mission Beach unless you have planned to skydive or do white water rafting here. All in all a really good hostel and would definately recommend!

10th February Spent all day bussing it to Mission beach. Absolutely hammering down when I arrived at absolute backpackers. Cooked and slept. Not a lot going down here 11th February Woke up to rain again. Brightened up this afternoon so I took the shuttle to Mission beach pier where I saw sea turtles surfacing in the murky water for air. Had a …

    Day 66

A travel blog entry by becky_whitmore on Oct 25, 2014

In the morning I got dropped off in town and did a little bush walk to the pier; it was pretty disappointing, no turtles as promised and not much to see on the walk. I wandered around town but there wasn't much to see, its very small. While I waited to get picked up again I sat outside a cafe with a coffee and an apple pie with ice cream :-) Back …

    Day 65

Deon got the wrong bus this morning so I missed him to say bye. I got to my next stop, Mission Beach, in the afternoon and was greeted by Lee at the bus stop who escorted me to the hostel; nice lad from England. I managed to get a dorm room to myself so I made myself at home :-) I did some food shopping and chilled out for the rest of the day. In …

We besloten hier …

Woooooohooooooo!!! Today I did my skydive and OMG it was so totally awesome!!! One of the best moments of my life. It was such a rush, I wanna do it again and again. I jumped out the plane at 14,000 ft and free fell for one minute before the parachute came out. I got to see such an incredible view of mission beach and all along the coastline. We …
