... had suggested eating at sodas, the local restaurants, which sell cheap local food. I had a taco which didn't actually come with a taco as we would know it but just rice, meat and peppers, but was much tastier than the previous meal in San Jose, although still not packed with flavour. We were also given a dessert which was similar to rice pudding, very sweet and creamy with cloves and cinnamon.

After getting ripped off by yet another taxi driver in San Jose, I arrived at the hostel and met my friends, as we only had a few more hours together, we went for lunch at the mall, for some not so local food. Craig picked us up from the bus stop in Parrita and we did a little grocery shopping and then went to a local soda and had a bite to eat. Headed up to his place and the road has had some improvements since we were here last. He lives in a small community on the road to Purriscal and the bus continues on to San Jose.
