Happy St. Nicholas Day! Here we are back in Ireland and it's essentially our last day here. Tomorrow we head to the Holiday Inn Express Airport Hotel for our last night so it's easy to get our morning flight on Monday. Wish us luck! The time back in Dublin has been surreal. Both because we can't believe it's (almost) over and because it reminds us of when we first started back in June. It's somewhat cathartic to end where you begin- puts things into perspective. Like how frickin expensive Dub...
Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland bachcjFlew into Dublin. Great City, Great People. Beautiful countryside. Guinness is great. I have met more Australians than anyone else on this trip so far. They are on Summer break at this time, so it kind of makes sense. The people you see in some of these pictures are the three I met: Matt, James, and Kylie.
Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland ckuryakWell, we got the 6:45am train from Edinburgh to Glasgow and then had 8 hours to kill before our flight to Belfast. Luckily, we were able to leave our bags in a locker at the train station and wander around town. We got another hop-on/off bus to see a little bit of the city. To be honest, it wasn't very exciting. There wasn't really a lot of great/famous buildings and many of the buildings were like Edinburgh - covered in centuries of smoke and pollution. However, the high point of the tour wa...

Susan: Abigails budget accommodation. We are here for two nights and it is a very busy place. We are in a full room of six beds, imagine me on the top bunk and two older people, male and female, Italian I think, sleeping in the bunk below. So that made for seven people in the room with six bunks. We came in late and I had to climb up the ladder in the dark and get into bed, needless to say I couldn't find the rungs and couldn't stop laughing as I felt it just seemed so odd. Here I am, the usu...
Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland goofballsI arrived at the airport in Dublin, Ireland on Tuesday evening of November 25. We checked into our centrally located hostel before exploring a bit of the Temple Bar area, which was just a few minute's walk. The area was very nice, but rather expensive. Nonetheless, we of course had to buy a pint of Guinness at the actual bar called Temple Bar. We ran into a fellow Emersonian, who joined us at the bar. Because it was a Tuesday, the area wasn't very crowded, and the bars were closing around 12...

... fate does happen twice. I'd like to believe that it can happen, although if it takes 10yrs then I'll be 40 and with my best days well and truly behind me ;0). We will just have to see if fate has our paths cross again. If I had the power to save time in a bottle then Id like to have saved up all the time we spent together so that I could relive it all over again. I will treasure every moment we spent together, for I have been extremely lucky to have been known and loved by her. We don ...
Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland talamarko... As soon as the plane's doors closed the little girl began demanding to be let off the plane and of course since she did not get her way she proceeded to cry with such a piercing cry that the entire plane would here her. This basically proceeded non-stop for the next 3 hours on the flight till she fell sleep for about 1 hour and then the patern began repeating itself. Got to Ireland and had ...
Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland michael.rabiehToday started Spring break and there was no time to waste. I had 10 days and I was going to see as much as possible. First stop was Ireland. Like usual, I was out the door by 6 a.m. and ready to catch another early flight so I could make the most of my day. I arrived in Dublin at 1:00 and Brian picked me up. I'm sure you're all wondering who's Brian. Well, the night of the Packer vs. Giants game believe it or not I was in a bar and met some fellows from ...
Dublin, Ireland mholtz... give you the smallest amount ever. For a whole meal of fish and chips, only give you one packet of ketchup, I'll never understand. Anyway, guess what happens while we are sitting there finishing up? Another stag party walks in. The groom was dressed up as Batman. So, the girls dared me to go ask what they were doing for the night, and of course I did...sober. So I got chatting with them, found out where they were going and they invited us to come. We kept chatting and I was ...
Dublin, Ireland beccx... There's nothing to block the view! I didn't take pictures, though, I was eating and it was too hard to take out my camera without making a mess... I still took a picture of the sunrise, but it was on the other side of the plane... Sorry for writing a novel! ^^; We arrived in London. Just so you know, England is quite pretty from up there! I read while waiting for my next flight. The 2nd flight was shorter, and it was a good thing ...
